New Orleans Jungian Seminar
Founded in 1997, the New Orleans Jungian Seminar is designed to offer advanced study in the psychology of C.G. Jung. Students meet for ten monthly seminars in three-year cycles. There are two semesters each year, each five months in length. Certified Jungian analysts offer lectures and experiential learning as well as review of the papers and presentations prepared by the participants. The seminars convene once a month from Friday afternoon through Saturday.

The New Orleans Jungian Seminar is an approved training center of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA). The IRSJA was established in 1973 to provide training for students in Analytical Psychology. The Inter-Regional Society is a member of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). In addition, the New Orleans Jungian Seminar is a National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC)-Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP
TM)* and may offer NBCC-Approved clock hours for events that meet NBCC requirements. The ACEP solely is responsible for all aspects of the program.

A fundamental aspect of the New Orleans Jungian Seminar is to provide an immersion in the study and experience of Analytical Psychology. The Seminar is designed for mental health professionals as well as other applicants who demonstrate a serious interest in the philosophy and psychology of C.G. Jung. Each applicant must commit to an attendance of one year. Throughout the course of study, participants are required to be in an ongoing personal analysis with a certified Jungian analyst.

After a minimum of one year of study and with the approval of the New Orleans Jungian Seminar, participants may elect to apply for candidacy to the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. Applicants must meet all the application requirements established by the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts.
